Rollout of NASAs Artemis II mission and the SLS/Orion rocket is scheduled for Saturday morning, Jan. 17 around 7 a.m. We discussed the status of the mission and the critical tasks to be accomplished in the next 2 week before the mega rocket can blastoff with 4 astronauts from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center pad 39B on a flyby mission around the Moon – and how this sets up the Artemis III human landing mission later this decade

Finally we discussed the recent confirmation of Jared Isaacman as new NASA Administrator and the challenges ahead with the much delayed SpaceX Starship Human Lunar Lander required for Artemis III that’s far behind schedule and the race to the Moon with China also targeting a human lunar landing by 2030.
