CAPE CANAVERAL, FL – On June 25 I was interviewed live on FOX 35 Orlando about Blue Origin New Glenn rocket explosion during static fire test late in the evening on May 28, 2026 at pad 36, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station as the company begins the rebuilding process – now some 3 weeks after the catastrophic event.
The new live interview took place on June 25, 2026 to follow-up on the current state of affairs after my return from vacation when Fox 35 called me barely 2 hours after the disastrous explosion took place around 9 p.m. ET just after the start of a hold down static fire test with ignition of the seven first stage BE-4 engines at Space Launch Complex-26 on Cape Canaveral Space Force Station
We discussed my comments and analysis about Blue Origin New Glenn rocket explosion – cleanup and aftermath and what’s ahead. Investigation into root cause & changes needed to ensure safety and successful rebuild and restart to resume launches for critical missions like NASA Artemis – still ahead.
Blue Origin team has just released a new video illustrating the wreckage removal process they said was completed in just nine days time
The first stage and second stage and transporter erector (TE) were completely destroyed and the pad infrastructure also suffered significant damage.
Within 20 minutes of the explosion I was called by phone for interview requests by multiple TV media outlets for my commentary on the impacts and aftermath – including WFTV ABC News Orlando, WESH 2 NBC News Orlando, BBC World News, Orlando Business Journal

Blue Origin and CEO Dave Limp confirm that the company still plans to resume its New Glenn launches by the end of the year.
I think that ambitious timeline will be a difficult thought not impossible to achieve
A short segment of my analysis also featured here:
Blue Origin should provide timely detailed updates – which they have not done thus far
