SpaceX Starship Flight 13. SpaceX attempts another test flight. Many people will look to the skies Thursday night as SpaceX prepares a test flight for their starship [on July 24, 2026]. Ken Kremer, research scientist and founder of Space UpClose breaks down what needs to happen for a successful test flight, and where SpaceX should focus their launches next in this live interview with Ken Kremer on Fox 13 Tampa Bay on July 23, 2026. Another topic was the July 21 launch of Northrop Grumman MRV-MEP satellite rescue mission. Fox 13 also featured several of Ken’s prelaunch and launch photos. Bad weather intervened and SpaceX then rescheduled the liftoff to July 24
The first attempt to launch Starship 13th test flight was scrubbed at T-Zero with an last moment ignitions abort called by the flight computers when 4 of the 33 first stage Super heavy Raptor version 3 engines failed to ignite during the final ignition sequence.

SpaceX replaced several Raptors and did additional engine testing on a test stand
In addition to the upcoming test flight 13 we discussed why I believe SpaceX should focus on the human lander for NASA not Starlinks, and the race for the moon with China.
Starship Test flight 13 does not advance NASA’s Artemis in that there is no further testing or development of the cryogenic propellent transfer essential to enable the human lunar lander version of Starship
